Alpine Meadows was a solid choice for our family getaway. The townhouse we stayed in had a lovely view of Lake Wakatipu, and while it was about a five-minute drive to town, we found walking was a great way to soak in the scenery. The hill is steep, though, which might be a workout for those less inclined. The outdoor sitting area and BBQ pit were great for family dinners, and my wife appreciated the full kitchen - perfect for avoiding long waits at popular spots like Ferg's Burger. Our two kids had their own space with two good-sized rooms-ideal for some much-needed family time. The highlights for us included the private spa, which turned out to be a hit. The view from the balcony made for a pleasant place to unwind after a day of skiing. Having Netflix and Disney+ in every room kept the kids entertained during leisure hours. We enjoyed our stay. While certain aspects, like the steep walk up and some cleaning items could be improved, it offered the essential family-friendly amenities we were looking for.
